Just your average, ordinary artist. This blog is mostly filled with reblogs. Pardon the mess it can be.
If you are interested in my personal artwork, be sure to check out my art blog.
this is for those who despair over seeing ships or tropes that make them uncomfortable while they do their little scrolly-scroll on ao3, acting like they aren’t responsible for their own internet experience
I mean say what you will about TikTok but in 2012 you’d have to dig through so many dogshit only-lasted-2-episodes webseries on YouTube to find something this funny.
i will spend every day of the rest of my life saying ‘if you’re going to like something you should reblog it too’
nobody’s judging you for what you reblog unless it is outright hate, but you know who DOES care about it? our dying art community.
this site is BUILT on fanworks and we’re complaining an awful lot about the changes staff is making to try to boost site traffic, yet doing little to support what communities we have on here. you don’t have to leave tags, you don’t have to leave comments, but if you want tumblr to stay the same we have to reblog shit on this site like we used to otherwise we’ll lose the artists and writers our foundation was built on.
Reblogging this again because I’m seeing genuine actual god awful ratios of reblogs between likes and it’s reminding me why I kind of stopped being on tumblr, I enjoy the space but seeing how every single mutual who’s posted art they worked on so hard only to see they have something like 15 reblogs and 200 likes is really disheartening.
Please, for the love of god REBLOG to support your favorite artists.
@xxcrumbxx hihihi! Reblogging is the LIFEBLOOD of tumblr. Spam liking might be a little looked down on depending on the situation, but spam reblogging? Absolutely not.
We aren’t twitter. Our works don’t get shared by liking, and fresh, new, “trending” posts don’t get added to our dashboard if they’re getting a lot of notes. The ONLY way to share content on tumblr is by reblogs (and blazing, but that’s relatively new and not really used), as they share the post on your follower’s dashboard. It’s like twitter’s retweet function.
Likes are good and sweet, but ultimately, they do NOTHING except archive it to your likes page that is typically not public and will not allow it to be seen on your dashboard. While likes are good for personal archiving, they do nothing to publicly share the works you love and artwork and fics do not get spread.
And speaking of, yes! Yes, ABSOLUTELY share fics! Unless the writer states otherwise, writers have been getting the short end of the stick on tumblr since the start and if you’d like to reblog the fic for others to see, it’d be so appreciated!
Reblogging is the only way to spread posts on this app for others to see! Please, please, please, reblog our artwork and writing.
Because, while liking is appreciate, it’s ultimately a personal archive. If you want us to write more and draw more, please reblog our posts.
here, let’s look at some of my top posts from last year:
and this is from when i still considered the ratio to be not that bad
Hi! This is a good example and I don’t mean this in a way to drag anyone who can sometimes like a lot of posts bc they genuinely love it and forget to reblog, it happens! Comparing the prev. Images ratio its actually rather good and okay because it at least had some good traction,
These are just a selection of random Mutuals posts to try to show you guys what I mean, and this is not just all fnaf sb, this is just a generalized idea of what I meant by reblogs slowly dying! So I just mean it which all my heart, if you love something, stop for a sec and maybe reblog it! It’ll make someone smile + the ratio from reblog to likes doesn’t have to be equal, or perfect! We just want our art and our friends art to be recognized
